Founders Day: Read These Scriptures About Honoring Servants Of God!

Paul told the Thessalonians, “Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, and are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).

Glory Ministries I am appealing to you, to honour our Founder Bishop Apostle Sibiya who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your Christian walk. Come on the 8th of December lets prepare to overwhelm them with appreciation and love! I urge each and every one of you to do your part.

Many of us have seen spiritual pain, hurt and wounds. Our Father and Mama are often caught in the middle of “hand-to-hand” combat. They are unable to leave the field of battle, for it follows them everywhere. Families have broken up over doctrines. Friendships have ended because of grace. There have been ugly scenes of hostility and animosity, with emotions fractured and nerves frayed. Walking in the warfare have been our father and mama and their team of clergy, attempting to comfort, soothe, encourage, uplift and direct.

Here are a couple of scriptures that talk about why honoring the servants of God in our lives:

1 Timothy 5:17 ESV Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in preaching and teaching.

Hebrews 13:17 ESV  Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Galatians 6:6 ESV One who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 ESV We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labour among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

1 Corinthians 9:14 ESV In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.

Philippians 1:3-5 ESV I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

Ezekiel 44:30 ESV  And the first of all the firstfruits of all kinds, and every offering of all kinds from all your offerings shall belong to the priests. You shall also give to the priests the first of your dough, that a blessing may rest on your house.

1 Timothy 5:17-18 ESV Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The labourer deserves his wages.”

Philippians 4:10-19 ESV I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. ...

Philippians 4:18 ESV  I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.

1 Corinthians 9:1-27 ESV  Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord? If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. This is my defense to those who would examine me. Do we not have the right to eat and drink? Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas? ...

1 Corinthians 9:9-11 ESV  For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned? Does he not speak entirely for our sake? It was written for our sake, because the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?

It is fitting that we honor Christian soldiers like our Founder Bishop P Sibiya who displayed courage under fire. A big Thank you Daddy for you has stood the test of time and you have endured criticism because of the cross of Christ. We salute the bravery, humility, love and dedication for the ministry. Maglory lets gear up for this great day . Prepare your money, cows, goats, sheep, road runners, cars, houses and all kinds of gifts. Do not let this golden opportunity pass you by. Sow on this fertile ground

Together we can do it
