Bishop Pride Sibiya has been in the trenches ministering the gospel for over two decades now.
He is the Founding President and Presiding Bishop of Glory Ministries. Amongst his many sons and daughters; I have been priviledged to directly manage and administer him since July 2013.
He triples up as my Lead Pastor, District Pastor; and Bishop of Glory Ministries. In addition to that, he has numerous outside engagements; both at ministerial and professional levels.
Bishop Pride Sibiya is a married man with three daughters. His immediate family broadens up to include his biological mother, sister siblings, in-laws, close relatives and many other dependents who also live with him.
It is a herculean task to manage a Kingdom General of that magnitude. It calls for much more dedication, service and sacrifice. What I am going to share in this article series is informed by both experience and revelation.
5. Defend Your Lead Pastor From Attacks: The work of the ministry comes with a lot of criticism behind it. It is not possible to please everyone under your jurisdiction. Even Jesus Christ; the Son of God; faced intense criticism from his erstwhile leaders in the form of Pharisees, Sadducees and the Sanhedrin. Your lead pastor cannot be an exception.
However, it is imperative to understand that criticism does not automatically transcend into a guilty conviction. The court of public opinion will always propagate their own theories of accusations. Most often than not, those accusations usually turn out to be rumours circulating in the corridors of society.
In the public domain, learn to defend the anointing. Your lead pastor should feel safe when they are with you. People should see the true value that you place on your lead pastor regardless of his shortcomings; proven or perceived. But in the closet; away from the madding crowd; pray for your lead pastor, and also seek to understand his true position on the accusations being levelled against him. Depending on your proximity to him, he can even go further to tell you deeper issues surrounding his weaknesses.
May God bless you in your service as you defend the anointing.
