Harare – Apostle Mavis Gurupira will grace the 2019 edition of Her Glory Women's Conference organised by Glory Ministries in Harare.
The 2019 edition of the conference titled: a Sanctified Life will be hosted by Pastor Anna Sibiya.
Apostle Gurupira, hailing from Faith in God Ministries International (FIG) is one of the leading voices in the Christian denomination. She has become a leading counsellor to women broken by various trying situations in life.
As an international speaker, pastor and prolific author, her presence on different platforms have altered many lives. Her prolific work has earned her awards, such as the Women’s Heritage Society bestowed to her in 2014, alongside other 19 local women.
Though her early childhood was dotted by trials, including dropping out of school, she remained resolute to change her rank for the better.
“I repeated my grade seven and learnt about scheming and planning while in primary school. I dropped out of school because ether was no money for school fees,” she revealed during one sermon.
Defying her trying past, she later qualified as a radiographer – a post she later quit to serve FIG full time.
She later on attained accolades in the pastoral field, travelling globally to address diverse gatherings. Together with her husband, Archbishop Asa Gurupira, they oversee an expanding ministry, established in 1999 that has changed countless lives globally.
But she has remained grounded to her humble upbringing. “If God uplifts you, you become humble. It will come from the inside man. You don’t need to advertise yourself but people will recognize you when you are honourable.”
Through Operation Hope, FIG has provided safety nets to underprivileged, unveiling self-help community projects. The Kingdom Woman Ministry provides the right platform for women to be taught the word of God.
On their website, FIG endorses that, “The world is awaiting the manifestation of a Total Virtuous Woman who will bring transformation, not only to her family but to the church, community and market place in the world,” confirming their will to change women’s status.
And every five years, the ministry hosts the acclaimed Kingdom Women Conference, with a mission: “To transform and position the woman in her rightful place of shining as a force and a beacon of hope in the church, community, family and the market place.”
