Apostle Pride Sibiya - A Kingdom General with Tapiwa Zuze

The year 2019 marks eighteen years of Glory Ministries’ existence; the organisation where Bishop Apostle Pride Sibiya is the founding father, the incumbent president and presiding bishop.

Bishop Apostle Pride Sibiya (www.pridesibiya.com), affectionately known as Chabod (Kabod) in Glory Ministries’ close circles, has fathered me for close to eight years now, and for all that time I have come to partake, receive, be influenced, equipped, transformed and witnessed the full “Manifestation of God’s Glory on Earth” through the humble servant of the Most High.

Without any shadow of a doubt, I can testify that indeed my father is a Kingdom General who is busy 24/7 reproducing and “Building Kingdom Generals”.

Bishop Sibiya was born to the late Stanley Sibiya and Lizzy Sibiya on 5 September 1978. He grew up as the only son in a family of three children, himself as the only boy anchored by two girls either side of his life. He is happily married to Pastor Anna Tendayi Sibiya, and blessed with three daughters; Anouya, Anenyasha, and Anaya. But how do I attest of the Godly commandant attributes of my father? How do I make the world understand Bishop Sibiya as a Kingdom General? 

In my endeavour to do so, I will attest using the seven attributes I have witnessed first-hand both in his personal/family life and through his exemplary Kingdom Life.

1. Apostolic Father:
Bishop (Apostle) Pride Sibiya has a traceable progressive history that saw him at one time becoming occasionally mentally retarded, and this is on record at Zengeza 1 High School (Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe). He gave his life to Jesus Christ as a small boy in 1984 during an explosive crusade featuring Evangelist Reinhardt Bonnke of Germany. 

Fast-forward his life to 2001 where he founded Glory Ministries, and since then-Bishop Sibiya has progressively grown to become an apostolic father to many people in the body of Christ. The servant of God is an ordained apostle and bishop, and fathers/mentors many sons and daughters within and outside Glory Ministries; and within and outside Zimbabwe. 

Over the years his ministry and apostolic fatherhood have been authenticated by seasoned Kingdom Generals who have graced many events he has hosted, with Tiyambuke International Christian Convention (TICC) leading the way.

Over the years, Bishop Sibiya has hosted his father; Archbishop Asa Gurupira of Faith In God Ministries International, Apostle Alexander Chisango of KINOC, Bishop Abel Sande “The Caterpillar” of Ambassadors for Christ Ministries International, Evangelist Paul Saungweme of Jesus for Africa Evangelistic Ministries, Bishop Ngwiza Mkandla of Faith Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Alfred Jaka of Exalters of Jesus Christ Ministries International, Apostle Noah Parwaringira of The Great Commission Assemblies International, and Apostle Tavonga Vutabwashe of Heartfelt International Ministries and Apostle “Splasher” Wilson Jijita of Kingdom Fire network, to mention but a few. All this attests that Apostle Pride Sibiya, as a Kingdom General, he is an apostolic father.

2. Church Planter:
When Glory Ministries was founded in 2001, Bishop Sibiya attended the very first service alone. The first member of Glory Ministries to join him; our International Overseer, Apostle Shiloh Masenyama, did so from the second service onwards. And over the last 17 years, God has enabled His Servant to grow the church from one person in attendance (himself) to over 100 churches within Southern Africa and beyond. 

Glory Ministries now houses five arms under it; Glory Churches, Dawn Evangelistic Ministry, City to City Intercessory Ministry, Youth Alive and Glory Conferences. It is now sub-divided into many districts and provinces, all attesting to his strong call and desire for saturation church planting. 

While for the first 10 years (2001 to 2011) the servant of God was mostly laying out a strong and sure foundation for launching the ministry into a pre-set destiny; from 2012 to 2017 (The Season of Mega) the church experienced exponential growth in all its facets. 

And besides the physical churches planted under Glory Ministries’ banner, Bishop Sibiya has also planted many virtual churches with thousands of followers through his online media platforms which include the following:

In November 2016, the servant of God was prayed for by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI) of Ghana when he came to Zimbabwe for a series of Healing Jesus Crusades, and he received the grace for running megachurch. In November 2017, he was prayed for by Bishop Tudor Bismark of Jabula New Life Ministries and received a prophetic word: “When you walked to the front (to teach), I saw your suit covered with flags! God has called you to the nations!” Even words and actions of such senior Kingdom Generals are attesting to the fact that Bishop Sibiya is called to the nations to plant churches. As a Kingdom General, he is a church planter.

3. Prophetic Voice:
Bishop Sibiya is primarily a man of explosive evangelism and saturation church-planting. He enjoys his peace and comfort when multitudes are being saved and giving their lives to Jesus Christ. He is a man of “plundering hell and populating heaven”. However, as a Kingdom General, he has also occasionally given a number of individuals, national and international prophecies, which have come to be fulfilled in their due seasons. 

On the Crossover Night of 31 December 2014, he gave a national prophetic word: “Someone influential will be sent by God to speak in the nation (Zimbabwe) concerning the welfare of the aged and pensioners”. And The Herald of 25 July 2015 screamed with a headline: “President sets up Pensions Conversion Commission”  I quote: “President Mugabe has set-up a Commission of Inquiry to probe the conversion process used to convert pensions and insurance benefits following the dollarization of the economy in 2009. 

This followed concerns by pensioners that their pensions and insurance benefits were undervalued during the switchover from the Zimbabwean dollar to the US dollar. 

The nine-member commission is chaired by Retired Judge Justice George Smith”. 

On 31 December 2015, Bishop Sibiya released a national prophetic word: “God is releasing grace on poultry in 2016, and the whole agricultural industry in general”. On 24 January 2016, The Sunday Mail screamed with a headline: "Quail (Zvihuta) Farming on the Rise”. I quote: “Quail farming is on the rise in the country due to increased demand of the bird’s meat and eggs”.

Again, on 31 December 2015, Bishop Sibiya released an international prophetic word: “There are going to be a number of short wars between countries and races in the world mainly due to political misunderstandings. Tensions will rise”. On 29 December 2016, the Cable News Network (CNN) reported that “Russia Sanctions Announced by White House”.

The then US President, Barack Obama, was quoted on the news: “These actions follow repeated private and public warnings that we have issued to the Russian government, and are a necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm US interests in violation of established international norms of behaviour”. 

The Russian diplomats and their families were given 72 hours to leave the United States of America. Over the years, Bishop Sibiya has released numerous accurate individual, national and international prophecies including one for the just-ended Zimbabwe’s 2018 Harmonised Elections. 

The servant of God, as a Kingdom General, is a prophetic voice to the world.

4. Marriage Counsellor/Family Builder:
The Almighty God remains the ultimate master-builder of marriages and families as a foundation of human multiplication and dominion (Genesis 1:27-28). Over the years, Bishop Sibiya has been used by God to build new marriages, repair broken ones and/or reunite disintegrated families. He has done this across the board; from teenagers to old people; from ordinary church members to ministry founders/bishops; from ordinary citizens to high ranking government officials/celebrities. 

To further cement this calling, Bishop Sibiya has written a book warning the youths on the dangers of premarital sex named “LET’S TALK ABOUT SEX BABE!”

Bishop Sibiya has also been referred to as “Tete (Aunt)” by many people/groups across the board with reference to his succinct tackling of bedroom issues. He has gone on to produce and reproduce many articles on hot marriage and family topics such as:

b. Nurturing Your Relationship – Be The Woman of His Dreams.

c. Love and Relationship Tips – Signs You Are in a Mature Relationship.

d. The Scissor and How It Helps Couples 

There are many witnesses out there who have got life-changing testimonies on how the Kingdom General, Bishop Sibiya, has changed their married and family lives through his God-given counselling and family-building skills.

5. Compassion Minister:
Bishop Sibiya has over the years ministered to many people, within and outside Glory Ministries, on their physical/biological needs. For nearly two decades, he has managed to house stranded people in his home, lived with mentally-challenged and demonic-possessed people (including those that had been initiated into Satanism), paid school fees for disadvantaged school-going children (for primary, secondary and tertiary students), celebrated his birthdays and ministry anniversaries with old people’s homes and/or children’s orphanages. 

He has done most of these initiates in his own capacity and his family, and sometimes through Glory Ministries’ fifth vision statement tier of “SOCIAL RELEVANCE”.

The greatest satisfaction that my father takes home from all these initiatives is to be able to provide a stepping stone to someone who goes on to realise their dreams. Again, there are numerous documented testimonies out there of orphans who graduated, divorcees who got married and wedded, sickly people who got treatments and are now employed, street wonderers who are now pastors in their own right; all coming through the servant of God. 

This I have heard, I have seen and I have witnessed first-hand. My father is a Kingdom General even as a compassion minister.

6. Conference Speaker/Leadership Coach:
Bishop Sibiya has hosted many conferences himself, chief among them being the Tiyambuke International Christian Convention (TICC), which is hosted under Glory Conferences; an arm of Glory Ministries. As an Apostle of God, his desire is to “duplicate himself” just like Jesus Christ who reproduced himself in his disciples (who became Apostles). 

The third tier of our vision statement is “EQUIP BELIEVERS”; and in pursuit of this Bishop Sibiya has also hosted:

c. Kabod Youth Festival
d. Ministers’ Conference
e. Male Pastors Conference

g. Elders Conference
h. Symposium of Excellence
i. Church Growth Seminars

Besides him hosting conferences, he is also a sought after conference speaker and leadership within Southern Africa and beyond. He has graced some of the country’s high profile events such as The Sunday Mail Bride of the Year, writers’ book launches and musicians’ album launches. He has also been taught through his videos being aired on the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC), and other radio channels in Zimbabwe. Some of the notable series he has touched taught on include Angels, The Apostolic Order, Dimensions of Prosperity, Honouring Servants of God, The Hard Sayings of Jesus, Marriage and Sex, Disadvantages of Poverty, Spiritual Spouses, Laws of the Spirit; and Soul, Body, and Spirit. My father, as a Kingdom General, has moulded the world through rich kingdom teachings and leadership coaching.

7. Prolific Author:
Bishop Sibiya is a gifted writer of repute. Over the years he has managed to publish the following notable books:

Some of these books have been adopted as teaching manuals/books of reference by a number of ministries and churches within and outside the Zimbabwe. In addition to the books, Bishop Sibiya has also authored many articles on diversified topics that have been published in newspapers and magazines such as The Herald, The Sunday Mail, NewsDay, Daily News and H-Metro. 

The world at large has been blessed through the rich writings of my father. As an accomplished author, he is indeed a Kingdom General.

As I conclude my article, let me hasten to say that the world has been blessed with many Kingdom Generals over the centuries. Some have been very visible in their areas of calling, but some have done their work quietly with their results doing the talking. Within the whole spectrum of Kingdom Generals, my father Bishop Sibiya is one of them. 

He is a man who has influenced many lives and changed many perspectives, all for the betterment of the Kingdom of God. As a complete package from God, let my father grow much more in wisdom and understanding even as he continues to build a far-reaching legacy as a KINGDOM GENERAL!!
