Obedience to God will result in blessing. Disobedience will obviously bring curses. I can spend days on end talking on this but will summarise all by one Bible chapter. The point is, pliz obey God, there is no regret in following God's voice. "I was young, now am old, have not seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging for bread!"

According to Deuteronomy 28, when you disobey God, this will happen: you will be cursed :
-In the city
-In the field
-In your storehouses
-Vexation
-God will be against you to destroy all
-God will bring pestilence
-Shall be sickly: chronic consumption, fever,pain,high temperature, emerods, scab,itching, madness, blindness, fear and confusion
-Suffer spiritual attacks
-Your spouse shall have extramarital affairs in your eyes
-Cows, sheep die
-Children taken captive
-People will learn from you not to disobey God in proverbs
-Poor harvests
-Pestilence and droughts
-You will be a borrower and fail to pay back
-Ummm cannot go on, am so hurt, thinking about a cursed life.
Brethren choose obedience over disobedience and do the work of God whole-heartedly. The same chapter says this befalls you because of disobedience and, "because you served not the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things"(Deut 28:47)
"Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey!"
