The mandate of the church is to equip the saints for the for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love... Ephesians 4.13-16

The word used for sound is hugiaino which means to have sound health, that is, be well (in body); figuratively to be uncorrupt (true in doctrine): - be in health, (be safe and) sound, (be) whole (-some).
The church is a content based organization, and we will strive to equip all our members to grow in the LORD and also in terms of the church member’s utilization of abilities, talents and gifts:
…encourage one another to use the gifts and talents God has given us. Leaders should not do everything by themselves only but that they learn to delegate though leading by example. You must be open enough and expose your gift, talent or capability to your leaders so they may be free to make use of them. Apostle S. Manyika has helped me see that we ought to use even our talents (alongside the spiritual gifts: tongues, healings, miracles, prophecy etc.). Use whatever God has given you, be it, administration, exhortation, serving and helps, giving, intercession, hospitality, academics, mercy, youth ministry, athletics, cricket, football, dancing, comedy, drama, painting, art, craft, poetry and others… [Extracted from His Glory, our Vision by Apostle Pride Sibiya]
